Susan Lin
Director Susan is a senior at Duke from New York majoring in economics and political science. She is broadly interested in the Chinese political economy, including financial sector reform, climate policy and regulation, cross-strait relations, and semiconductors. She previously interned at the International Trade Administration in the Department of Commerce and spent last summer studying abroad at NTHU in Taiwan. Outside of CLS, she enjoys running, volleyball, and muay thai. |
Zoey Chen
Deputy Director Zoey is a sophomore at Duke studying Computational Media and Chinese. Through software development, art, and multi-stakeholder dialogue, Zoey aims to build solutions that are equitable, driven by responsible AI, and globally inclusive. In the summer after 10th grade, she studied under the State Department-funded National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarship to learn about Indonesian language and culture, which grew her appreciation for cross-cultural exchange. In her downtime, she loves painting and going on long walks. |
Fei Wu Fundraising Chair Fei Wu is a first year MPP student at Sanford School of Public Policy. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Fei Wu has been exposed to both Western and Eastern culture from a very young age. Through her previous work experience , she gained a basic understanding of how economic and foreign policy could impact businesses, hence how they impact the economy and people’s everyday lives. |
Andy Li Logistics Chair Andrew Li is currently a sophomore at Duke double majoring in Computer Science and Economics! Aside from the China Leadership Summit, he is also involved in Duke's Global Research Consulting Club, Impact Investing Group, Figure Skating, Chess Club, and Student Government. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing and he is a sucker for a good plate of 扬州炒饭。 |
Charlotte Duffy PubIicity Chair Charlotte Duffy is a freshman pursuing majors in public policy and economics, and a minor in Chinese. She is passionate about foreign policy and diplomacy, particularly as it relates to US-China relations. Previously, she interned at The China Project, a China-focused news platform, where her interest in Chinese culture and politics grew tremendously. In her free time, Charlotte loves to play soccer, watch movies, and try new restaurants. |
Amaris Wen
Publicity Team Amaris is a Duke freshman from Hong Kong who intends to major in neuroscience and minor in computational biology. Her bilingual education and multicultural experiences growing up in Chinese metropolitans fueled her interest in the dynamics of international politics. She’s particularly interested in the role of journalism in shaping political narratives and cross-cultural exchanges. In her free time, she enjoys creative writing and video editing. She has currently started her Taekwondo journey at Duke, and her favorite food is mint chocolate. |
Nancy Zhang
Publicity Team Originally from Beijing, China, Nancy has a deep passion for business and entrepreneurship. As an international student, she is dedicated to fostering U.S.-China cultural exchange and strengthening diplomatic ties. She transferred from UNC-Chapel Hill to Duke University this year, cherishing dual allegiance to the Tar Heels and Blue Devils. Beyond academia, she finds joy in playing the clarinet (a former Marching Band member), globetrotting (with adventures spanning Alaska, Hawaii, Spain, Zurich, Italy, France, Japan, South Korea, and more), and crafting captivating videos. |
Isabel Shew
Logistics Team Isabel is a sophomore at Duke University majoring in Public Policy. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, she has always been fascinated by the policy-making process and international affairs. Her interest in China began after participating in a virtual NSLI-Y immersion program for Mandarin Chinese. Isabel is most curious about US-China relations surrounding Taiwan’s semiconductor industry and hopes to explore this topic more at CLS. |
Harrison Schreiber
Fundraising Team Harrison Schreiber is a student in the Master of Public Policy (MPP class of 2025) at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy and a William D. Clarke Diplomatic Security Fellow with the Department of State studying global security issues. After graduating in Government and History from Claremont McKenna College, Harrison worked as a consultant at FTI Consulting, gaining valuable experience while collaborating with clients in the aerospace and defense sector. |
James Wang
Fundraising Team James is a freshman at Duke who is planning on majoring in economics. He was born and raised in a Chinese household in New Jersey, surrounded by both American and Chinese cultural traditions and ideologies. This has made him deeply interested in relations between the United States and China. More specifically, he is interested in the economic and political ties between the two nations. In his free time, James enjoys playing the piano and oboe, watching sci-fi movies and shows, and trying different foods. |
Phil Wang
Fundraising Team Phil Wang is a graduate student at Duke University, with a major in political economy. Grew up in Shanghai and studied in Hong Kong, Phil has witnessed the development and changes of China's two major commercial centers. He is interested in Sino-US relations, especially trade relations and the evolution and development of institutions within the Asia Pacific region. In his spare time, Phil enjoys traveling, watching documentaries, and being exposed to diverse cultures. |

Dorian Ho
Director Dorian Ho is a Robertson Scholar and junior at UNC majoring in Health Policy and Management. He is interested in the intersection of health delivery, global health, and foreign affairs. Based on his experiences researching and implementing a new means of STD test delivery in southern China, he hopes to explore the US-China relationship through academic collaboration and social innovation. In his free time, he can be found reading existentialist literature, practicing chamber music, and improving his Cantonese. |
Andrew Moua
Deputy Director Andrew Moua is a first year masters student at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in the Information Science program with a concentration in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Databases. Born in Saint Paul, MN, he was drawn to the China Leadership Summit for a combination of reasons- his undergraduate studies in International Relations in tandem with his service in the United States Air Force as a photojournalist, allows for the contribution of a unique perspective combined with practical experience and academic theory. He hopes to leverage his skills and talents for a career as a political analyst with a focus in foreign policy and defense where he hopes to mitigate and deter conflict and promote peace between the US and China. Jack Huo
Treasurer Jack is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at UNC. Raised under a strong multicultural Chinese-American environment, he likewise has a deep appreciation for cross-cultural exchange and its relation with the broader Sino-U.S. geopolitical landscape. In promoting this exchange, he has tutored American history to Chinese students, and he is also a performer and the Design Chair for Flying Silk, a traditional Chinese dance team at UNC. In his free time, he likes to play the piano, cook, swim, and read novels. |
Kyle Chan
Publicity Chair Kyle is a Sophomore at UNC majoring in Biostatistics. Having lived in Raleigh, Vancouver, Beijing, and Hong Kong, Kyle values cultural exchange and strives to share the perspectives of a global citizen. He previously had experience conducting research with faculty at Dartmouth College on demographic factors in the Chinese economy. Through CLS, he would like to continue furthering intellectual conversations on the dynamic U.S.-China relations. In particular, he is interested in soft power, education policies, and the Mainland-Hong Kong relations. In his free time, Kyle enjoys watching Chinese Historical Dramas, traveling, and playing the cello and piano. |
Alex Feng
Logistics Chair Alex is a sophomore majoring in computer science and psychology. He is interested in China-US relations because they are arguably the most critical and complex geopolitical dynamics of our time. As logistics chair, he hopes to facilitate a high quality environment for discussion on this topic. |
Yu Qi Lin
Fundraising Chair Yu Qi Lin is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her major is information science with a minor in neuroscience. As a Chinese American, Yu Qi has always been curious about her cultural heritage and has a passion for learning more about U.S.- China relations politically, socially, and economically. One of Yu Qi’s future goals is to study in China. During her free time, Yu Qi enjoys watching Asian dramas, adding new songs to her Spotify playlist, and learning new skills. |
Matseoi Zau
Publicity Team Matseoi is a sophomore at UNC pursuing majors in computer science and math with a minor in PPE. His academic passions lie at digital privacy, information freedom, and cybersecurity, recognizing that both technological changes and sociopolitical norms shape this domain. While volunteering at the Cathay Apartment in Chinatown, Los Angeles, Matseoi was deeply moved by stories of immigration, sparking his interest in the history and present dynamics of U.S.-China population migration. As this year's logistics member for UNC, he eagerly anticipates contributing to the CLS, a dynamic fusion of intellectual dialogue and social engagement. |
Wilma Casey
Logistics Team Wilma Casey is a first-year Global Studies and Chinese major at UNC Chapel Hill. As a non-heritage Mandarin speaker and American born in China, she is passionate about building bridges between world powers. She loves assisting college-level Mandarin classes at her local university in Charlotte, writing to a friend at the HFLS in Hangzhou, and chatting up international students in the dining hall. As a foodie and adventurer, she plans to study abroad early and often in her college career. |

Logistics Team Ana Altman is from Raleigh, NC, and is a Junior majoring in Global Studies and Information Science with a minor in Russian at UNC. Ana is interested in US-China relations and how Russia and the former Soviet Union region play a part in these relations. Attendee Relations Born and raised in Nanjing, China, Yingning is currently a junior at UNC majoring in biology and economics with a minor in chemistry. Aspired to pursue a career in healthcare, she is interested in how the U.S.-China relationship impacts the global healthcare system, specifically, on the effects on various communities the conflicts and agreements that the two countries reached have. During her free time, Yingning enjoys dancing, reading, and baking sweet treats with her friends. |
Chloe Cheung
Attendee Relations Chloe Cheung is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill double majoring in Pre-Business Studies and Global Studies with a minor in Statistics. Chloe is highly interested in the connection between global economics and international business and the usage of quantitative reasoning and statistical application in real world situations such as the complex relationship between the US and China. |
